Interesting news comes in from Cesar Gracie on the contract specifications and fighting future for Stockton star Nick Diaz.

In the video above from HD Net's "Inside MMA", Gracie confirms that Nick Diaz's next fight will be "in the ring, as a boxer" after Diaz vents on some issues with his MMA career.  The UFC purchased Strikeforce, so how can Diaz just waltz off and start signing boxing contracts?  The adamant objections from the UFC regarding Fedor Emelianenko's Combat Sambo career when those two parties were negotiating might come to mind.

More on Nick Diaz's contract boundaries after the jump.

Frankie Lester was quick with advice for young men when we featured him in an article by Ed Kapp back in December.  That advice was "don't marry groupies." Hopefully many guys followed that simple recipe for happiness and it worked out well for them.  Now I think Frankie ought to issue another piece of advice, this time telling willing idiots:  "Don't let professional MMA fighters kick you in the leg while you're not looking."

Obviously Lester did not clue the fool you'll see in the following video in on that particular pearl of wisdom.  Instead, he kicked the guy not only once, but twice.  Check it out.

Olympic boxing gold medalist Howard Davis will be cornering fellow Olympian Rahdi Ferguson tomorrow night at the Strikeforce Challengers show in Nashville.   Davis is the head boxing instructor at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, and was part of Team Liddell on TUF Season 11.   Rhadi is making his Strikeforce debut tomorrow, and the world class judoka is obviously a great grappler, but it will be interesting to see how well he performs with his hands.  Davis was a slick boxer back in the day, and it's great to see him involved in the sport of MMA.

A bit of trivia:  I attended the last scheduled 15 round fight in the United States, before the switch was made to shorten title fights to 12 rounds.  Can you guess who one of the fighters was in that historic bout?  That's right, Howard Davis.  I still have the ticket stub to that event, which was held at Madison Square Garden.

Anyway, here's a video, courtesy of ProMMAnow.com, of Howard Davis talking about Rahdi Ferguson and what he expects from the talented Strikeforce fighter.

UFC 127 takes place tonight in sunny Australia.  BJ Penn takes on Jon Fitch in the main event, and Michael Bisping will try to shut Jorge Rivera up in the co-main.   Here are Dana White's video blogs:

On November 6th of 2006, MTV fans across the world watched for the first time as professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his body guard Christopher “Big Black” Boykin showed the world their unique brand of comedy by having cameras follow them around in normal everyday life.  Whether it was trying out time traveling or competing in rodeos, 70 million people fell in love with this dynamic duo over the course of the shows first season.  When word broke that the show would not have a fourth season, rumors quickly spread as to what the real reason must be, and fans everywhere have been calling out to Big Black to return to television with Rob in the years since that time.  Well I have good news for you guys…Big Black is back!  In this interview in St. Louis the night before the big Strikeforce fights, Big Black tells all about his return, and talks some MMA while he is at it.
