Warriors Cup XV took place Saturday night at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey.  The crowd was on its feet throughout most of the night, as both amateur and professional Muay Thai fighters punched, kicked, kneed and elbowed their way to glory.  The main event was one of the most brutal and exciting fights I have ever seen.  Rami Ibrahim of the Sitan Gym and Ognjen Topic  of North Jersey Muay Thai went to war in their fight.  Both men fought like champions, and with good reason:  the vacant WBC US National championship was on the line.  For the first two rounds, the fight was a back and forth battle with both men landing big shots.  But in the third, Topic, landed a big knee that finished Ibrahim.  It was an explosive ending to a great fight, and the crowd more than got their money's worth.  Afterwards, Topic explained that he had injuries to both his elbows, and would be taking some time off to heal.  It will be a very well deserved rest, and I already look forward to his return.

The next Warriors Cup is scheduled for November 3, again at the Rahway Rec Center, so mark your calendars!

Here are the official results of all the action.
