Paul Bradley is on a tear.  He is undefeated in his MMA career and boasts a 9-0 record. His last fought back in November against tough Dante Rivera, who he knocked out in just 34 seconds to remain perfect in his 2+ years as a professional mixed martial artist. Paul, as you may remember, was featured on The Ultimate Fighter in season 7.  Unfortunately, he contracted a rash that is common among wrestlers and MMAers, but Dana White sent him home immediately.  This was a bit unfair to Bradley, in my opinon, but it hasn't stop Paul from his winning ways. Paul is now fighting for the World Cagefighting Alliance.  His skills will be on display this Friday, February 6, 2009 as he tries to remain undefeated.  His opponent is highly touted Nathan Coy (5-1) out of Team Quest. I spoke to Paul about the fight and more: TheGARV: Hey Paul, I was at your last fight where you knocked out Dante Rivera.  Man, the shot you hit him with, it shook the arena. Bradley: (Laughs) Yeah, yeah.  It was one of those reaction shots and it connected just right. TheGARV: Now, you were at the TUF house but got the infection. Tell me about that. Bradley: It was basically just like a shingles break out.  I came in, cut in the weight and made the initial weigh in.  And then I pretty much thought we weren't weighing in again for awhile.  Little did I know...I put on probably 15 pounds, and the next day we had to cut back down for the fights. I think just putting my body through that stress brought it out. But what are you gonna do, I guess. TheGARV: Well, you keep winning.  And now you're going to be fighting for the WCA on February 6th. Bradley: Yep. TheGARV: You're fighting Nathan Coy. Do you know anything about him? Bradley: I trained a little bit with him [at Team Quest].  Good hands, just an all round tough guy.  I know from the rankings I looked at, he's ranked in the top thirty in the world at 170.  And I'm just looking at it like a great fight and one of those fights that I need at this stage of my career. TheGARV: How's your training going? I know you train with Lionheart, who just opened a new facility. Do you train there? Bradley: Yeah, I'm training there.  And then I do some of my training on the road. I just flew back in from San Diego. I was out there for a month at Alliance Training Center, which is Brandon Vera's gym.  I trained with Brandon, Scott Smith from Strikeforce, Tim McKenzie, who's making his UFC debut.  The last day of training I trained with Eddie Sanchez, who fought Cro Cop. So I just took my training out there to get a different feel. TheGARV: And now you're back on the East Coast.  How do you liking fighting in AC? Bradley: Oh man, there's something about AC, the ocean being there, the casinos.  AC is by far the funnest place for me to fight.  Just the environment.  People are fight fans out there and they know what's going on.  The crowds are great and I just love fighting in AC.  Even Dante's fans in this last fight.  They were rooting against me, but I still had friendly conversations with them after the fight.  They're knowledgeable. TheGARV: What can we expect on the 6th?  Another 34 second destruction? Bradley: Anything can happen in a fight.  I trained my butt off. If it goes three rounds it goes three rounds, but I'm always looking to finish. I want to be an exciting fighter.  So I'm looking for whatever I can finish the guy with. TheGARV: Ok, Paul. Sounds awesome. Looking forward to seeing you fight on the 6th.  Thanks. Bradley: Thank you. paul-bradley
