The UFC will once again air live preliminary fights on SpikeTV in the hours leading up to their major pay per view broadcasts; in this case, Ben Saunders vs. Marcus Davis and Kendall Grove vs. Jake Rosholt for UFC 105 in Manchester on November 14.
Decisions like this only increase the value of the UFC's product and generate more opportunities for their undercard bouts to be seen and enjoyed by the general public. With a norm of around 5-6 fights being seen per event, and since the cards have been stacked with as many as 10-11 match-ups in totality, the appetite of the hungry MMA fan will only be further satisfied.
The Saunders and Davis fight is a pivotal test between two fighters who have stabilized as contenders on the bottom of the welterweight ladder, and a fan-friendly pairing that will most likely be decided by the preferred striking entourage that both men exhibit as their strengths.
TUF winner Kendall Grove is 2-3 in his last 5 and will be looking to make a strong case to remain alive on the UFC roster versus 6-1 Jake Rosholt, who is flying high off a submission victory over Chris Leben. Rosholt has split fights since shipping over from the WEC, with a submission loss to Dan Miller along with his victory over Leben.
