At this point in time, there are few bouts in the world that Frankie Lester would rather take than a grudge match against Marc Stevens.
The reason for this proposed dream-match is neither fame nor fortune, as Lester, a member of The Ultimate Fighter 9 is looking to take Stevens out for the sake of revenge.
“The story line between myself and Marc Stevens is that he is dating my ex-wife. We are separated and going through the divorce process and have a three year old daughter together—the love of my life, Jordan,” Lester noted via e-mail, “Joanna took off while I was injured and going through hard times before I made it on The Ultimate Fighter, then after just a few months I left for “TUF,” and when I returned she said she wanted to give it another shot, so whatever, we did. Then I was released from the UFC and had been injured and fallen on tough times and she took off again.”
“Well, she moved back to upstate New York, which is where she’s from and met Marc when his season began during their viewing party in Watertown... So she pretty much jumped ship for the newest “TUF” alum,” offered Lester, “Long story short, my three year old told me recently that her mom was seeing this guy. I did a bit of research and found it was Marc Stevens. I approached her and the next day he was talking (expletive) about being a better man than me on Twitter.”
The Tweet in question that was allegedly directed at Lester was posted on December 15th when Stevens wrote, “You’re loss, my gain. You’re just another (expletive)-talking punk to me. Everyone knows at your best as a man you couldn’t equal half of me.” (Stevens’ Tweet was edited for clarity.)
Stevens didn’t respond to a request for a further comment.
Lester, who spent 11 months deployed in Iraq as an infantryman in 2003, is now hoping to get a chance to go to battle with Stevens.
“I want this fight to happen. He’s got a big mouth with a little bite to back all that talk up, so let’s make this fight happen. He has multiple fights at welterweight and middleweight, so this could definitely be put together if he has the (expletive) to back up his mouth.”
As for Lester’s prediction, if the bout actually happens?
“If Marc and I fight it’s gonna end with him being knocked-out—either from a knee to the face, or a head-kick. I will make him suffer in there if he chooses to do so.”
Lester, who owns five career professional victories—including three stoppages inside of the first round, has a clear message for Stevens.
“Marc, you can’t talk (expletive) on Twitter then duck fighting me. We can meet at welterweight. Don’t be a (expletive) now that you’re on the hot-seat.”
Although Lester’s warnings to Stevens are fairly straightforward, the Team Quest product has an even simpler message to up-and-coming mixed martial artists.
“Message to younger fighters? Don’t marry groupies!”

Don't marry groupies, what's worst, Steven's is around Lester's 3 year old daughter, that's actually how he found out about Marc and his ex. That's a line you don't cross even if you dislike whoever the ex your are currently dating, you never talk shit about the other parent in front of the kid. I hope the Tank rolls straight through Steven's ass, oh wait all he has to do is guillotine him.
