rashad-evans-rampage-jackson-ufc-96

At the "UFC 106 Q&A", Dana White sat down with Cain Velasquez to answer a litany of questions from fans, and the UFC big cheese revealed that the potential grudge match between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans was still likely to take place if Rashad beats Thiago Silva at UFC 108.
“Rashad has a fight with Thiago Silva in January.  If Rashad is able to get out that with a win he’ll fight Rampage next.”
This is very surprising and encouraging news.  The pair was set to face off for the customary culmination of "The Ultimate Fighter" season upon which they are currently opposing coaches.  Rampage made headlines by absconding to Hollywood to play the role of B.A. Baracus in the upcoming A-Team film, a course of action that would directly coincide with the UFC 107 event in Memphis where he was scheduled to face Evans in the main event. Rampage and White were reportedly on less than amicable terms with no immediate reconnection in site before this news surfaced.  Stay tuned for more information on this story as it develops.
