Randy Couture is once again thinking about retirement, and this time it could very well be the end of the line for Captain America. Speaking to ESPN, Randy said:
There's a big chance this is my last fight. I'm not going to be making any official announcements, I don't think anybody would buy it - I already did that once! But I'm in terrific shape, I'm feeling confident about Lyoto and dialling into the attack and how we're going to get our hands on him. There's a lot of other things calling me now, and there's a chance this is the last one.
Randy said that he's got many other activities to keep him busy once his MMA career is done, including making movies and running his clothing business and gym. And the daily grind of training seems to be getting to him:
Frankly, I'm tired of grinding it out, it's time to enjoy life.
Randy is truly one of MMA's all time greats, and has provided fans with thrills and chills for many years, but time waits for no one, as the saying goes, and Randy is already in his late 40s. Does he have enough for one more win before calling it a career? We'll find out at UFC 129 exactly one month from today.
