If you've been lucky enough to have wasted away precious years of your life on a certain internet MMA forum, you may remember the sport's premiere and pioneering creative artist: bob s.

This man was way ahead of his time; the Vincent Van Gogh of early MMA composition.  The aberrant artist was one of the rare few who dared to deviate wildly from the norm by rendering childlike caricatures re-enacting historic MMA and submission grappling events, such as when Rener Gracie defeated Gordinho by triangle choke at the 2003 Pan Ams, the unforgettable confrontation between backyard brawler Kimbo Slice and pro-MMA fighter Sean Gannon, and the unfortunate scuffle in a bar between various members of the Gracie family and Damien Riccio where little Pepe was struck by an errant blow.

If the vivid and imaginative portrayal of legendary MMA figures is not breathtaking enough, the embedded commentary from bob s will surely win you over.  Where some artists strive to send a crystal-clear message through visual translation, bob s refused to conform and transcended the confines of normalcy by embedding his personal annotations within the image.

Please join me in paying homage to MMA's precedential and groundbreaking virtuoso, the great bob s.  There are many more epic renditions beyond the jump.
