The New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame is extremely proud of its inaugural class of inductees to the New Jersey Martial Arts Hall of Fame. This class will be honored at the induction dinner gala to be held at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Meadowlands on December 7, 2012.

On December 7th, Dr. Wulkan will be inducted as the Ringside Physician of the Year.

She is the lead MMA/Muay Thai ringside physician for the State Athletic Control Board. In this capacity, she reviews almost every medical for MMA and Thai competitors in New Jersey, and also practices ringside at most such events.

Dr. Wulkan is currently the Chair for the Association of Boxing Commissions Combat Sports Medical Committee. She was a featured speaker at the group’s 2012 convention in Florida. She developed a handbook of ringside medicine and an evaluation examination.

She was selected as the Ringside Physician of the Year by the American Association of Professional Ringside Physicians.

In 2012, she developed the first combat sports fellowship elective training program in the nation, and led a ringside medicine lecture and training series at Atlantic Health and Morristown Hospital.

She is currently testing a portable neurocognitive device at the request of the United States Navy, at combat sports events.

She has been quoted by several major media sites as she is viewed as an expert in the field of performance enhancing drugs.
