We are back!  The Warrior's Cup Muay Thai Challenge returns with a great show on March 3rd, 2011 at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, NJ.  The Warrior's Cup is New Jersey's premier muay Thai promotion, and if you haven't been to one their live events, do yourself a favor and get over to the Rahway Rec Center on March 3.  Once again I will be hosting the show from inside the squared circle, where fighters will leave everything they have in the ring.  Muay Thai is a major weapon in many MMA fighters' arsenals, and these MT fighters bring it every time.  Click on the poster for ticket info, or check out the Warrior's Cup website.  This is  mauy Thai!

(Kasey Matthews and Jamie Driver throw down)

The American Mixed Martial Arts Fight League continues its ascent in the MMA world.  On Friday night, the fans went wild when 16 fighters left everything they had in the cage.  The sell out crowd was treated not only to great MMA action, but complimentary food and beverages were provided as well.  The venue at the Newtown Athletic Club was top notch, with great lighting and sound.  It was a pleasure ring announcing all the fights and enjoying the show.

For the first time ever, the AMMFL featured a women's MMA bout, and in my opinion it was the Fight of the Night.  Kasey Matthews and Jamie Driver provided fans with a three round war, with Driver coming out on top on the scorecards.  I had the fight a draw, and would love to see a rematch between these very talented and determined fighters.  It was truly a fight to remember.

Another very memorable fight was Des "The Predator" Green vs. Bam Bam Jones.  Jones came out and went into berserker mode against Green, even trying to fight after the end of the second round.  But Green showed great composure and a high skill level by weathering the storm and taking control of the fight.  Green, out of Team Bombsquad, won by unanimous decision.

All the fights were great, as the fighters gave their all.  I don't have all the official times handy, but will get that info and post it in a couple of days.  I can tell you that the Fight Night series is here to stay, though, and I'm already looking forward to Fight Night 5.

Promoters Jim McCann and Patrick Byrne do an outstanding job on all facets of the fight game. They know how to match make put on an event, and it shows.  If you are near the Philly area, do yourselves a favor and check out a Fight Night event live.

For a replay of all the action, check out UStream.tv/bslive.

The American Mixed Martial Arts Fight League is rapidly becoming one of Pennsylvania's biggest and best MMA promotions.  Their previous three outings showed that the promoters left fans very satisfied, as each event was bigger than the last.  Now, this Friday, February 17, the AMMAFL is back with Fight Night 4, which takes place once again at the Newtown Athletic Club, 209 Penns Trail Road, Newtwon, PA.

Promoters Jim McCann and Patrick Byrne are always looking for innovative ways to improve the Fight Night series, and this time they are offering ticket holders free food to go all with all the great action.

"On our general admission tickets, all food and beverages are included," Byrne explained.  "We'll have hot dogs, chicken fingers, nachos, pretzels and soft drinks.  Those tickets are priced at 50 dollars.  We also have youth tickets, for people 20 and under, and those go for 35 dollars, with food and beverages included. As for our VIP tickets, we're going to have an area roped off, and have servers bringing the food and beverages.  They won't even need to leave their seats."

Despite all the great food, the real meat and potatoes of the show will be the live action inside the cage.  The matchmaking at the AMMAFL is extraordinary, and each fight is very carefully thought out.  This time around, there are 9 amateur fights on the card, as well as two professional bouts.  And, for the first time ever, the AMMAFL will showcase females in the cage.

It's fight week!  The final arrangements are being put in place as the American Mixed Martial Arts Fight League makes ready for this Friday night's big card.  Promoter Jim McCann is rapidly taking the AMMAFL to the top of Pennsylvania's MMA scene, and his shows are always spectacular.  I am proud to be the official in-cage voice of the Fight Night series, and I am very much looking forward to the action on Friday night. Click the poster above for ticket information, or check out the AMMAFL website.

See you at the fights!
