King_Mo_x_Gegard_Mousasi

Strikeforce makes another big splash by infusing their April 17th CBS card with a third championship title fight between Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal and current belt-holder Gegard "The Dreamcatcher" Mousasi.

This light-heavyweight bout will compliment the two other title-fights featured in the event:  the Strikeforce lightweight title bout featuring DREAM divisional-champ Shinya Aoki against current Strikeforce king, Gilbert Melendez; and the middleweight championship match pitting Jake Shields vs. Strikeforce newcomer Dan Henderson.

The blockbuster showdown has been speculated to take-off ever since the talented pair joined the Strikeforce roster, and the fight was first rumored as "in the works" back in January of this year.  I can't think of any two light-heavyweights (in the world, not just outside the UFC's bubble) that are rising faster and gaining more credibility and notoriety than King Mo and Gegard Mousasi, so this is an alignment that will be well worth the effort.

If you thought it was only the fans getting antsy for this fight to happen, King Mo's comments a couple of weeks ago might change your mind:

He can forge my signature of he wants to.  Just write, 'M-O' and 'X.' If he wants to put the little crown and 'King Mo' inside, he can do that, too. I don't need to sign nothing. He can forge my signature. That's how ready I am for this fight. That's how bad I want it.

Mousasi, on the other hand, displayed his usual laid-back and casual style of indifference about fighting King Mo, saying that he wasn't that impressed with Lawal in the video below from MMAFighting.
