
To be a champion in this day and age you have to have all the right tools, work ethic and experience. Slaid Sainevil, a young rising talented boxer and kickboxer has all of these attributes. For Slaid, it’s all about getting better and moving on to the next fight.
And that's exactly what he's gonna do on September 9th at Glo for a Kickboxing fight brought to you by Gladiator Promotions. Sainevil steps in a faces highly regarded amateur fighter Larry Batista from Bellmore Kickboxing. This fight is guaranteed fireworks!
I had the pleasure of asking Slaid Sainevil some questions about his upcoming fight and some other questions, this is what he had to say:
Vic Torres Jr.: Alright Slaid, you’re a young talented up and comer in the combative world. You have a fight coming up against a talented opponent on the 9th of September. How are you preparing yourself for this bout ?Sainevil: Well, I'm doing a lot of running 5 miles a day for cardio. Sparring a lot and fixing my mistakes from previous fights.
Vic Torres Jr.: Awesome! You do have a lot of fights. One of the things I admire is how often you do fight. How many times a year do you try to fight?
Sainevil : Yeah, thank you. I don't limit myself. I try to get as much fights as I can. For the experience and to better myself.
Vic Torres Jr.: Excellent. What camp are you fighting for and who is your trainer?
Sainevil: Well, I do both boxing and kickboxing. So, you could consider them both as my training for this fight. I box in Brentwood, NY, for Suffolk PAL and do my kickboxing with Bobby Campbell. I'm fighting for Campbell's fight team for the 9th.
Vic Torres Jr.: Nice man. So, what town are you from?
Sainevil: Well, I am from Haiti. I live in North Amityville.
Vic Torres Jr.: For a young fighter, you have a lot of tools. Speed, quickness and power. Which attribute of those do you like to show case the most?
Sainevil: I believe the best fighter is a smart fighter. I'm just trying to fight smart and do my best to combine all these skill to my advantage.
Vic Torres Jr.: Great answer! What are your goals for your fight career? Where do you want go with this sport?
Sainevil: My goal is to make it as far as I can. Hopefully, even go pro for boxing and becoming a champion.
Vic Torres Jr.: I believe it, bro. Is there any shout outs that you would like to give out?
Sainevil: Shout out to Larry Batista. He should bring his A-game. It should be a good fight. Also, shout out to my brother Passy, my sister Hansel and to my boo Tanniella. Also, to my mother Midrene.
