Dana White took it upon himself to gently unveil to the media via his Twitter account a slight problem pertaining to Karo Parisyan and his UFC 106 bout with Dustin Hazelett:

"Karo Parisyan has fucked over the UFC, the fans and his opponent again."

"Huh!?!?" one might wonder to his or her self, "That sounds somewhat negative. I wonder what kind of tomfoolery ol' Karo's up to?" Dana's next two Tweets:

"Pulled out of the fight the day before weigh ins again with a laundry list of excuses!!! Let the press ask karo why! Let him explain."

"Dustin will be paid his full purse to show and win. Its not his fault."

The story disseminated throughout the pores of the MMA media sponge, and it was soon revealed by FiveOuncesOfPain that an addiction to painkillers was the unfortunate thrust behind Karo's decision to withdraw from his fight against Hazelett on Saturday's UFC 106 card. The Armenian Judoka had already been tagged with a suspension and $32,000 fine after his UFC 94 decision victory over Dong Hyun Kim when his drug test lit up for unapproved medication (oxymorphone, hydromorphone, hydrocodone), and this was Karo's first fight back after the disaster. The Paulo Thiago and Jacob Volkman encounter has been promoted from the undercard to the main to replace the doomed Hazelett/Parisyan bout.
