Well before his August 28, 2010 fight officially started, UFC 118 has metaphysically armbarred Jorge Rivera.  Rivera postured up and pulled out with a broken arm.

OK, I’m speaking in metaphors, but Rivera hasn’t offered any details yet about the source of the break that has caused him to withdraw from the show.  MMAjunkie reported the news:

“Rivera first announced the news via his Facebook page, though UFC officials have not removed the bout from the official fight card. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) confirmed the change with a source close to the event, who said he was aware of the injury . . .

Rivera said he hopes to return in late September or October, but he didn't disclosed the specifics of the broken arm.”

Randy Couture is presumed to be sympathetic.
