Jim Rome of ESPN recently went on a bit of an unnecessary tirade about Brock Lesnar.  The video of the segment is posted at the end of this article.

As we all know, UFC heavyweight champion Lesnar has been out of action since beating Frank Mir at UFC 100 in July.  The details of his condition were shrouded in mystery and speculated to be career-ending; we only knew that Brock was visiting his Canadian retreat and needed medical care immediately, and with no immediate return in site, Dana White aligned an interim heavyweight championship match

Last week, Brock held a press conference and revealed the scoop.  He was first incorrectly diagnosed with mononucleosis, and after flying back to the states for treatment, it turned out he was suffering from diverticulitis.  Here's where it gets good:  Brock slammed the Canadian facility he first checked into, likening their service and capabilities to that of a "Third World Country".  Brock then went on a little political rant about health care.

The only reason I'm mentioning this, I'm mentioning it to the United States of America because President Obama is looking for health care reform and I don't want it ... I'm speaking on behalf of Americans, I'm speaking on behalf of our doctors in the United States that don't want this to happen and neither do I.
I'm not bashing the Canadian health care. I'm not bashing it at all. I'm a U.S. citizen, it just so happened I was in Canada. If I had been in Thailand or Puerto Rico, I would want to get back in the U.S. for my health care, you know? The reason I'm saying that is because there's millions of people that don't want health care reform and I'm one of them. Does it need some restructuring a little bit? Yeah, but not a total reform .... I'm not a believer in socialism and I don't want that going on.

Now, on to Jim Rome in the video below. Rome begins by alluding to some sort of life-changing metamorphosis that Brock was apparently supposed to undergo because, despite being "brash", he "cheated death".  Even funnier than Rome's entirely incorrect and overly dramatic comparison of the hole in Brock's stomach to a man who has returned from the clutches of the underworld, the ESPN host says Brock is "putting guys on blast and breaking them off".  Cut back on the MTV, Mr. Rome.

Basically, Rome sounds disappointed to reveal that Brock is still acting like Brock for saying the heavyweight division is "shitting their pants" upon his return, and then urges Brock to contain his comments on health care.

My thoughts before the video:  Brock is a meathead, and anyone who intends to be enlightened by his thoughts on how to handle anything other than tackling people, punching them in the face, and drooling all over the camera afterwards is much more of a threat to society than Canadian healthcare.
