According to a report by The Olympian, a Washington State newspaper, Jeff Monson has been arrested and charged with vandalism for defacing the the Capital building in Washington DC. Monson admits to the crime and justifies it based on his political views. Monson told the Olympian this:
“Every great movement in the United States, from civil rights, women’s rights, the labor movement, has been the result of people standing up and breaking the law, refusing to stand at the back of the bus, refusing to stand aside when the government asks you to get off their property,” Monson said. “And now, these people are seen as pioneers. But at the time, they were criminals — they were literally criminals. I’m not here to advocate for myself; at some point you have to stand up.”
There's even a picture of Monson defacing the Capital:

And I suppose his arrest pic looked like this:

Actually the above photo has nothing to do with the arrest for vandalism, it's older than that, but I felt it was appropo for this article. And in case you aren't aware of Monson's political views they are, let's just say, out there. Jeff is an anarchist and proud of it. But I guess he never heard the old joke:
Q. How many anarchists does it take to change a light bulb?
A. Impossible. Anarchists don't change anything.
War MONSON!
