The Renovacao Fight Team is a Luta Livre based school in Rio De Janeiro that is run by highly acclaimed trainer Marcio “Cromado” Barbosa.   Cromado is a former MMA fighter and Shooto veteran who's tangled with legendary names such as Rumina Sato, Dokonjonosuke Mishima, Ryan Bow, and is best known for submitting grappling whiz Caol Uno with a mata leao.

 

The Renovacao Fight Team (RFT) hosts a stable of aggressive fighters with a dangerous reputation for the ruthlessly aggressive and frenetically paced attack they unleash on their opponents; both standing and on the ground.  Prominent RFT fighters include Luciano Azevedo (wins over Jose Aldo, Rodrigo Damm, Din Thomas), 7-1 Shooto Brazil star Carlos “Betao” Alberto, Leonardo “Chocolate” Nascimento (finished former UFC’ers Roan Carneiro and Yuki Sasaki), and Luis “Besouro” Dutra Jr. (two wins over UFC fighter Fabricio Camoes).
