Genghis Con Video: "The Honor Among Champs" (Aoki/Hirota)

Listen, all you need to know is that this is a Genghis Con video, which should be all the reason in the world to watch it.  The topic for this astounding piece of work is the highly heated rivalry that sprang up between DREAM lightweight submissionist Shinya Aoki and SRC champion Mizuto Hirota in the weeks leading up to their impending face-off at the Dynamite!! 2009 New Year's Eve show. 

The animosity shown by DREAM's two premeire lightweights, Kawajiri and Aoki, towards their opponents was rather unexpected and unprovoked, and The Garv covered the triviality here.  Of course, the bad blood culminated with quite an exclamation point, as Aoki remorselessly dominated Hirota by swallowing him on the mat and subduing him with what looked like ten different spandex-coated limbs before cranking his arm into an angle that it was just not designed to withstand, breaking it.

Adding insult to injury (literally), Aoki was pulled off by the referee and proceeded to congratulate the writhing Hirota with a middle finger in his face.  That's my quick version of the events, but Genghis Con tells the story much better.  The video is posted just beyond the jump.
