Fights & Highlights

Cain Velasquez is training hard for his bout against Junior Dos Santos later this year, probably November 19.  This is one of the most important heavyweight fights in recent history, because Cain and Junior represent arguably the two best heavyweights on the planet right now.

Velasquez has not fought since winning the title against Brock Lesnar last October, a fight in which he hurt his shoulder and required surgery.  Against Dos Santos, ring rust could be a factor.

Cain is looking to work off the rust as he trains at Joe Grasso's Elite Training.  Got a few vids of him training, including one of Velasquez swinging around a 203 pound kettlebell. The guy is a beast! Then, as if that's not enough, here are videos of his first two MMA fights. Enjoy!

Lyoto Machida has remained true to his karate roots in his mixed martial arts career.  In the following video from 2001, Lyoto shows the same style that he uses in the Octagon.  Check it out.

We are only a few weeks away from Fedor's big showdown with Dan Henderson, a fight that could decide the career of the Russian MMA legend.  For long time fans of the sport, Fedor greatness is unquestionable.  This new tribute video is a great remember of those days.  Enjoy.

NicktheFace makes some of the best MMA promo videos on the planet.  Here is his take on GSP vs. Nick Diaz.  This is great stuff.

Not quite pumped up enough for tonight's UFC 132 event?  Well, check out this preview video.  As real as it gets!

Jon "Bones" Jones got off to a quick start in his MMA career before getting the call to the UFC.  None of his first 6 pre-UFC fights went the distance. In this video, you'll see Bones in his 4th fight, a brief encounter with Ryan Verrett.  Enjoy!

Another way out weigh in moment when Myron Dennis decides to haul off and bitch slap Ryan Lopez.  And it all started with a headbutt.  Hopefully their fight will live up to the weigh ins.  Check out the video after the jump.

Excellent fan made video for UFC Rio, which takes place this August.  Amazingly, this is only the second time that the UFC has had a show in Brazil, the first being UFC 17.5 way back in 1998.  The headlining bout is Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okama.  Also on the card are Brazilian greats Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Mauricio Shogun Rua.  Plus the dynamic rising star Edson Barboza.  It's going to be a hot night in Rio.

Now, time to check out this video.

Ouch!  You can hear Wayne Brown's leg snap after getting kicked by Khalid Ismail at UCMMA 20.  The leg kick was the first and only strike thrown and it ended the fight in just seconds.  Fast forward to 6:50 to see the action.
